"While some things are better left unsaid, I’ve found that by not expressing my needs at that time, whatever it is..it’s bound to come back again, all the while “festering” (lol word of the day) inside. But when I look at it as related to envy, there’s a shift in perception about “what am I envious of?” and that alone can change my approach. Resentment seems deeper..like you’re envious not because you want “whatever”…you just don’t want the others person to have it."

I was struck with the realization that longing and needs live in deep beneath resentment. It brought on a wave of grief. A sacred moment to notice what unspoken desires have been missed.
